When the bandits and the fog had been dealt with and the chieftain Maiawa told the General about Shaiogded and Jaku, Kaiawu volunteered to join General Aerev in his/her search for a way to stop the God of Light because he refused to just sit and wait for the end of the world. After his father reluctantly agreed they struck a deal: the General saves the village from the ex-Purity bandits and the fog and the Alyani tell him everything he/she wants to know. To which Kaiawu objected that even if they're doomed it doesn't mean they might as well die now because the tribe is starving and the outsiders are willing to help. When the General told the chieftain what he wants from him (the information on killing Shaiogded), the latter just advised him to leave and enjoy the little time he got left because the end of the world is inevitable. After they had been defeated, it was revealed that Kaiawu is actually the chieftain's son and when his father refused to tell the "outsiders" anything he begged him to "at least hear them out". When the General Aerev interfered, the situation escalated quickly and the bandits attacked. Having arrived at the place of the meeting, they saw the chieftain pleading for a peaceful solution and the bandits threatening him and telling him to leave. The chieftain of the village had left over 2 hours ago to negotiate with them but Kaiawu was worried about him and asked the General for help. However, the conversation with the guards was interrupted by Kaiawu who appeared more friendly than his fellow tribesmen and after a brief conversation used his influence and ordered the guards to let the General pass even though the Alyani's faith and law demanded avoiding contact with the outsiders.Īfter conversing with other villagers and restocking the supplies the General met with Kaiawu once again and the latter explained that the village is not only affected by plague but also besieged by a large group of bandits who had cut the Alyani off from their hunting grounds.

But when they arrived there they only discovered poisonous fog, mutated insects and unfriendly natives telling them to leave. General Aerev and his/her companions traveled to the Howling Steppes to find more information on the God of Light because Yria had found out that the Alyani's entire religion is revolved around it. He father, however, was always demanding, while his mother died from a disease several years prior to the events of the Soul Harvest. Other than that, according to Kaiawu, he never received any special treatment from other tribesmen. As the son of the chieftain he was instructed in the "Words of the Ancestors" and as such is skilled in Light Magic and Druidism.

Kaiawu was born and raised in Alyani village in The Howling Steppes.

Alive (in Soul Harvest) Kaiawu is a human mage and a possible companion for the General Aerev in SpellForce 3: Soul Harvest.
